Andrew Giblin has been elected as Chair of Dolphin Square Foundation (DSF); Andrew has 20 years' experience in investment and development. Jo Moran has been appointed to the the Board of DSF, and has 30 years' experience in customer service.
These two appointments have been made as Dolphin prepares to grow its portfolio and provide more high-quality housing for London's workers on modest incomes. Prior to being elected as Chair, Andrew served over four years as Governor and latterly Vice Chair of Dolphin. Before taking on the role of Chair of the Board, he also chaired the Acquisition, Finance & Development Committee. Andrew steps into the role with over 16 years' experience at Dorrington where his forthcoming appointment to Managing Director was recently announced, having been on the Board for ten years. During his time at Dorrington, Andrew has specialised in residential and commercial investment and development and has been responsible for developing effective strategies, influencing company direction and driving transformation.
Jo's appointment is evidence of Dolphin's drive to excel sector standards for customer service. She joins the Board with over 30 years' experience in the retail industry and was most recently Head of Customer Service at Marks & Spencer, a position she held for 12 years. Prior to this, Jo was Head of Retail Service and Head of Franchise Sales Development. While in her role, she successfully obtained Board support to invest in training of every store colleague, resulting in M&S having one of the best customer recommendation scores in the UK.
The appointments come at an important time for Dolphin as it looks to expand its portfolio, with over 300 homes in planning or under development, to accommodate the increasing demand for affordable housing for London's key workers near to their places of work. The charity's strategy further prioritises upholding a high level of customer satisfaction by adhering to regulatory requirements, including health and safety requirements, streamlining its approach to repairs and utilising technology to improve the customer experience.
